Becky and Daniel’s winter wedding at The Roosevelt Hotel was an event to remember! The day began with photographing Becky’s getting ready in the hotel’s suite and photographing all of Becky’s beautiful details. The sketch of the bride’s stunning custom made gown was a lovely gift from a friend.
I love photographing the wedding rings at every wedding! These beauties were designed by the bride’s close friend, jeweler Stephanie Gottlieb. No two weddings are the same and I love exploring the unique elements and personality of each wedding, and how to incorporate that into the images.
Becky looks unbelievable in her dream dress. I love the quiet drama brought in by the window light. This part of the day is full of anticipation and excitement, but we find time for a few quiet moments of reflection. Here Becky takes a moment to gaze at her lush ivory bouquet, provided by the fabulous team at Monica Chimes floral design.
One of my favorite shots of the day! Becky’s girlfriends and family see her for the first time and their reactions are priceless! Love all the phones out to capture this moment, but the smile on Becky’s and all the ladies’ faces is even more memorable.
Daniel, the handsome groom, was captured by my second photographer. Always love these casual laid-back getting ready scenes with the groom. Groom prep photos are classic, simple, and casually posed, to show the groom’s anticipation without being intrusive.
The classic NYC city scene in front of the elegant Roosevelt Hotel! Their anticipation is evident in their expressions, and chic backdrop of the city behind them is always fashionable.
Loved using the dramatic old-world architecture of the Roosevelt Hotel’s lobby here. They say black and white images seem frozen in time, and I think that is definitely the case with this timeless image.
Love this fun detail image of Daniel’s smirk and his polka dot bowtie and boutonniere.
Whats more fun than being on the rooftop of a Manhattan hotel? We got lucky with relatively warm weather in the middle of winter and were able to spend a few minutes making awesome images with NYC skyscrapers as the perfect backdrop.
So many great details here – the back of Becky’s amazing dress, the lovely bouquet an the soft way Daniel is embracing his bride.
Wedding dresses are often designed with a stunning back, but Becky’s is just incredible! Here is the bride with her chuppah as the backdrop. The white branches made for a dramatic elegant winter scene.
